Activities
At Sharpview we have many daily activities to choose from. We have daily exercise programs to stimulate the body as well as many other activities to stimulate the mind and soul. Our beautiful, manicured gardens are the perfect setting for bingo games as well as resident led history groups.
Rooms
We offer both private and semi-private rooms for the comfort of our residents. Each resident is invited to decorate and personalize their own room to make it feel just like home. Every room is kept clean and sparkling by our amazing housekeeping team.
Dining
Here at Sharpview Residence and Rehab we offer delicious daily meals from our state-of-the-art kitchen. We offer a flexible menu, healthy choices and superb service to each and every one of our residence.
Care Units
Memory care
Here in Sharpview we care for all our residents as if they are our own parents. But when it comes to our residents who are living with Alzheimers and Dementia we take special care to preserve their identity and individuality. Through 24/7 personalized care we make sure to give our residents in memory care a sense of belonging and purpose.
Long term care
Our long-term care unit here at Sharpview is built around the approach of making every single resident feel at home in our family. Each resident is given 24-hour personal care by our dedicated nursing team. We understand the toll living away from family takes on our residents and that is why we care for each of our residents as though they are our own family.
Respite care
When families need help caring for a loved one, we are here to be that help. Our short-term respite care unit offers daily and weekly care for families who just need a little help in the care of their loved one. We provide 24-hour care for each of our residents to keep them healthy and happy until their family can take them home again.
Hospice care
For those who are living with terminal illness we are here to provide them with compassionate care and loving support. Our Hospice care is designed to provide the best possible care for the residents in this unit.
Clinical capabilities
The nursing team at Sharpview residence and rehabilitation center is trained and proficient in many types of care for our patients. Whether it is new tracheotomys and trach weaning or PluerX Catheters and chest tubes, we have the ability to do it all. We can administer IV Antibiotics as well Nasogastric and PEG tubes. We offer in house Hemo-dialysis through our partners as well as peritoneal Dialysis. Our dedicated wound care team is proficient in stage IV complex wound management, and much more.
Rehabilitation
Our rehabilitation team here at Sharpview is ready and available to help our residence with all their rehab needs. We have full time physical therapists on staff to help get our family strong and healthy to live and full and rewarding life. Our occupational therapists are here to help our residents get back to doing acts of daily living independently. And our speech therapists are here to train our residents to communicate after strokes and other issues. All of our therapists are overseen by our dedicated rehabilitation director with over 30 years’ experience in the field.
Specialty programs
As well as everything we have mentioned so far, we here at Sharpview offer many specialty programs as well. Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program is here for our patients with lung disease and other related issues. A combination of exercise and muscle training, neuromuscular stimulation, evaluation and education all leads to the success of our program.
Our cardiac recovery program is designed to help you improve your health and recovery from heart attacks and other forms of heart disease as well as after heart surgery. Other programs include the Neurological rehabilitation program for nervous system diseases, and the orthopedic recovery program for recovery from broken bones and torn muscles. Our Dysphagia program featuring SYNCHRONY Æ is effective for dysphagia treatment using electrical muscle stimulation and virtual reality for more targeted therapy to motivate patent to exercise for longer periods of time.
